Responsibilities of handling editors during peer review.
Handling a manuscript
Editors are assigned manuscripts by the editorial office. Assigned manuscripts appear under My account → Editorial.
Responsibilities
- Assess scope and quality before peer review
- Evaluate reviewer reports fairly and promptly
- Recommend a decision: accept, minor revision, major revision or reject
- Keep all manuscript content confidential
Conflicts of interest
Decline any assignment where you have a personal, professional or financial conflict with the authors.
