Advancements in Electrochemistry

Frontiers in Chemistry are proud to present this collection of Mini Reviews and Perspectives entitled “Advancements in Electrochemistry”. The Electrochemistry section publishes high-impact research on groundbreaking achievements in batteries, fuel cells, electrocatalysis, and green chemistry, among others. Innovations such as solid-state electrolytes, two-dimensional electrode materials, and advanced nanostructuring techniques have significantly advanced the performance and utility of electrochemical devices. Despite this, difficulties remain in translating laboratory-scale innovations to industry, optimizing long-term stability, and fully understanding dynamic electrochemical environments. This Research Topic aims to spotlight recent developments in electrochemistry, aiming to foster discussion and further inquiry within the community. It seeks to highlight both contemporary advancements and imaginative pathways for future research in the field. The overarching goal is to encourage dialogue, enhance understanding, and propel future studies in unexplored areas.
