Anti-Inflammatory Drug Development Focusing on Immune Mediated Diseases, volume III

This topic is part of a series: Anti-Inflammatory Drug Development Focusing on Immune Mediated Diseases, Volume II.Immune-mediated and inflammatory diseases remain a major global health challenge, affecting millions of individuals worldwide and contributing substantially to morbidity, disability, and reduced quality of life. Despite significant advances in immunopharmacology, many currently available therapies still present important limitations, including variable efficacy, systemic toxicity, long-term immunosuppression, and heterogeneous patient responses. These challenges underscore the urgent need for innovative and more precise therapeutic strategies capable of modulating immune pathways with improved safety and clinical predictability.Building upon the contributions of the previous volumes, this third edition of the Research Topic aims to expand discussions on next-generation approaches in inflammatory disease pharmacology, emphasizing translational science, precision medicine, and emerging therapeutic technologies. Recent advances in molecular immunology, biomarker discovery, computational drug design, and experimental disease modeling have opened new avenues for the identification of targeted therapies and personalized treatment strategies. This Research Topic welcomes contributions that explore innovative pharmacological interventions and mechanistic insights into immune-mediated diseases, including but not limited to:Precision and personalized approaches in inflammatory disease treatmentNovel small molecules and biologics targeting immune pathwaysTranslational biomarkers and therapeutic response predictionAdvances in experimental and preclinical models of inflammationDrug repurposing and computational approaches for immunomodulatory therapiesEmerging technologies in anti-inflammatory drug discoveryMechanisms underlying chronic inflammation and immune dysregulationClinical and translational perspectives in immunopharmacologyWe encourage the submission of original research articles, systematic reviews, mini-reviews, methods articles, data reports, and opinion pieces that contribute to advancing the understanding and treatment of inflammatory and immune-mediated disorders.
