This Research Topic aims to highlight high-quality case reports in the field of Gastroenterology covering a broad spectrum of topics.Case reports that authors consider rare, but that are not so exceptional, or do not contribute to the knowledge on the subject, or do not provide key elements that help other colleagues to increase their ability to detect and diagnose or treat these unusual cases - will not be taken in consideration.Our case reports aim to highlight unique cases of patients that present with an unexpected/unusual diagnosis, treatment outcome, or clinical course. Case reports provide insight into the differential diagnosis, decision making, and clinical management of unusual cases and are a valuable educational tool.This Research Topic will only accept Case Report submissions, reports must be original with the aim to significantly advance the field to be considered. All Case Reports should contain “Case Report" in the title to be considered for this Research Topic. We welcome all case reports covering all aspects of Gastroenterology.
