Exploring the neural substrates of personality in Human Neuroscience, Volume II
Human Neuroscience lays the foundation for understanding the complex biological processes underlying human cognition, behavior, and personality. Fundamental to this exploration is the study of neural substrates of personality that provide insights into the biological makeup of human diversity. Despite recent advancements, the complexity of these processes and the heterogeneity in individual personalities have made it challenging to establish precise neurobiological correlates. This research topic, "Unearthing the Neural Substrates of Personality in Human Neuroscience," intends to address this scientific challenge. The objective is to unravel the neurobiological mechanisms associated with diverse human personality traits and their implications for social behavior and mental health. By fostering this dialogue, we aim to further our understanding of the complex interplay between the human brain and personality and enable innovative approaches to therapeutic interventions and personalized medicine. We encourage contributions from researchers in Human Neuroscience, Psychology, Psychiatry, Neurology, and other relevant disciplines. We invite authors to submit original research articles, reviews, opinion pieces, and methodological papers that align with - but are not restricted to - the following themes:• The role of specific neural structures in personality traits• Neuroimaging studies investigating personality correlates• Personality and brain plasticity• The impact of neural substrates of personality on mental health• Advances in computational modeling of personality and brain interaction Topic editors: Feng Kong, Qiang Wang, Elisabetta Pisanu Source: https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/77435/exploring-the-neural-substrates-of-personality-in-human-neuroscience-volume-ii
