Genetic and Communicative Exchanges Shaping Ecosystem Dynamics
Genetic models here focus on the mechanisms driving change and diversity within ecosystems, which are studied in and inspired from evolutional biology, where similarity and diversity intersect to create new species and their interaction with other entities in the nature. In evolutional biology, central to these processes is the exchange of information, which can encompass genetic material and communicative interactions among a myriad of living entities. Current research highlights the vast network of information exchanges contributing to the complex tapestry of biodiversity. Yet, understanding the nuanced roles these exchanges play in evolutionary trajectories remains incomplete.By exploring the hypothesis that evolutionary dynamics are tightly linked to the flow of information, this topic hopes to uncover underlying principles that could inform broader ecological and evolutionary theories. Furthermore, by considering humans as integral members of these ecosystems, the research aims to explore how human socioethical values and societal constructs interplay with these natural processes. The interplay between genetic flow and communication among organisms remains a rich area for investigation, signaling a need for further exploration into explanatory models of these processes underpin ecological diversity and evolutionary patterns. Similarly, to design the interplay between evolution of human society and AI agents via their communication in the future, we need to develop models of dynamics to explain and reflect the diversity in the living environment of humans and its environment. This Research Topic aims to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms by which exchanges of genetic material and communication drive evolution in ecosystems, and/or obtain models which can be used or diverted to understand or design ecosystems including the human society which is rapid evolution via generating and involving new species AI agents. Central questions include how information exchanges influence diversity, contribute to ecosystem resilience, and affect long-term evolutionary outcomes and how the answers to this question can be diverted to various ecosystems. To gather further insights in understanding the multifaceted aspects of information exchange in evolution, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:· Mechanisms of genetic exchange and their impact on biodiversity· Communication networks among species and their evolutionary implications· The emergence and influence of human socioethical values in ecosystem evolution· Case studies exploring the evolutionary role of information exchange· Theoretical frameworks integrating genetics, communication, and evolution· Analysis of human society and economy, and design of it as an ecosystem· Computation inspired by bio-ecosystem, evolving with diversity of agents· Living environments of humans with AI agents, analyzed or designed as ecosystemFinally, we invite contributions in the form of original research articles, reviews, and theoretical perspectives to expand the understanding of these complex interactions.
