The relevance of imaging methods including nuclear medicine, radiology and hybrid imaging techniques in the field of infection and inflammatory diseases is increasing.As a matter of fact, imaging methods are currently reported in the guidelines for diagnosis of different infectious and inflammatory disorders.The aim of this Research Topic is to collect original articles or reviews reporting relevant information on the role of imaging techniques in the field of infectious and inflammatory disorders.We welcome contributions exploring the role of imaging techniques for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment response assessment of infectious and inflammatory disorders.
