Improving Clinical Outcomes in Diabetes Through Evidence Based Care and Implementation

Diabetes is a chronic endocrine disease marked by dysregulated insulin action and progressive metabolic imbalance leading to substantial risk of microvascular and macrovascular complications. Although effective therapies and monitoring strategies are available, meaningful differences persist in glycemic control, complication prevention, and equitable access to care. Strengthening the connection between endocrine pathophysiology, therapeutic advances, and everyday clinical practice is essential to improving outcomes across diverse populations.This Research Topic will focus on high quality clinical and real world research that directly advances the management of diabetes and its complications. Emphasis will be placed on studies demonstrating measurable improvements in metabolic control, hypoglycemia prevention, complication risk reduction, and obesity related metabolic dysfunction within routine care. Submissions should maintain a clear focus on diabetes as an endocrine disease and provide clinically actionable insights that support better prevention, monitoring, and treatment strategies. Observational and experimental studies in health systems research, implementation science, and rigorous quality improvement are particularly encouraged, though we will consider a wider range of articles types as per the list below.
