Innovations in XR-technologies for Rehabilitation, Disability and Accessibility

Inspired by ICDVRAT (International Conference on Disability, Virtual Reality and Associated Technologies)'s interdisciplinary spirit, this topic highlights how medicine, engineering, psychology, and education converge to advance VR, AR, and AI for rehabilitation, disability, and social inclusion. We seek papers that:- Bridge disciplines: Demonstrate how collaborative teams (e.g., therapists + developers + end-users) solve complex problems in neuromotor recovery, cognitive training, or accessibility.- Address real-world barriers: Tackle implementation challenges like clinician training, patient adherence, or hardware limitations in clinical or home settings.- Push boundaries: Explore AI-driven personalization, neuroadaptive systems, or immersive metaverse tools for underserved groups (e.g., refugees, older adults, or neurodivergent individuals).- Center inclusivity: Prioritize co-design, cultural adaptability, and equity in technology access.
