Integrating Digital Intelligence to Promote Resilience and Health in a Changing World

The intersection of psychological science and digital innovation is becoming increasingly important for addressing the multifaceted threats posed by global events such as pandemics, warfare, environmental crises, and economic instability. These circumstances can profoundly influence psychological adjustment, lifestyle behaviors, and overall health, requiring rapid adaptation and sustained resilience at both individual and societal levels. Traditional disciplines have yielded significant answers to specific issues, yet the dynamic interplay between mind, behavior, psychological and health calls for more integrative and adaptive approaches—particularly those that harness the power of contemporary digital technologies. Recent studies signal that psychological and behavioral interventions are crucial for enhancing coping, promoting healthy routines, and safeguarding holistic well-being, yet obstacles remain in scaling up these efforts and ensuring interventions are tailored, effective, equitable, and widely accessible.Artificial Intelligence and automated digital tools now present fresh opportunities to redefine how psychological and health-related support can be delivered, monitored, and personalized. This Research Topic aims to build new bridges between psychological and behavioral interventions and AI-driven technologies, scrutinizing their potential to empower individuals, families, and communities in building resilience and fostering mental and physical well-being amidst instability and uncertainty. Central questions include the capacity of AI tools to deliver adaptive support in changing environments, how they might be personalized to different populations, and how to navigate the complexities of trust, ethics, and accessibility in the digital age.To further explore the frontiers of integrating digital intelligence with psychological and behavioral health promotion, we encourage contributions that stay within the boundaries of digital intervention, psychological adaptation, and health empowerment. We welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:o Development and application of AI-driven tools to predict risk and support adaptation in health contextso Digital interventions designed to foster positive health behaviors and emotional regulationo Machine learning and Natural Language Processing for the customization of psychological support based on individual narratives and community profileso Societal, ethical, and policy considerations in using AI for psychological and health-related interventionso Real-world case studies of digital solutions in promoting resilience and well-beingo AI-informed strategies for health crisis preparedness and community supporto Approaches integrating psychological, behavioral, and technological insights to address complex health needsWe welcome original research, reviews, theoretical and methodological papers, perspectives, and case studies.
