Investigating the Anti-Inflammatory, Antitumoral, Antioxidant and Anti-Infectious Activities of Natural and Synthetic Molecules in Human Diseases

The evaluation of biological activities of natural and synthetic products, including nanoformulations, is a rapidly growing field at the intersection of chemistry and biology. Advances in chemical synthesis have enabled the development of diverse molecules and drug delivery systems with potential therapeutic applications. While computational in silico modeling facilitates the prediction of molecular interactions and biological targets, experimental in vitro assays and in vivo models are essential to validate biological activity, efficacy, and safety. Together, these multidisciplinary approaches provide a framework to elucidate the biological potential of these compounds. This Research Topic aims to highlight recent advances at the interface between chemistry and biology. The goal is to assess the biological activities of natural and synthetic molecules, including nanoformulations and drug delivery systems. It seeks to integrate chemical synthesis, in silico modeling, in vitro and in vivo experimental studies. The ultimate goal is to advance our understanding of molecular mechanisms, optimize therapeutic efficacy, and ensure safety for further clinical applications. We welcome Original Research, Review, Mini Review and Perspective articles on themes including, but not limited to:• Chemical synthesis and design of drug delivery systems• Computational modeling including molecular docking, QSAR, and pharmacokinetics• In vitro evaluation of biological activity, toxicity, and mechanism of action• In vivo studies assessing efficacy, pharmacodynamics, and safety profiles• Integrated approaches combining computational and experimental methods• Applications in drug discovery, diagnostics, and therapeutic development Topic editors: Youness Limami, Raphaël E Duval, Vincent Sol, Bertrand Liagre, Riad El Kebbaj Source: https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/74822/investigating-the-anti-inflammatory-antitumoral-antioxidant-and-anti-infectious-activities-of-natural-and-synthetic-molecules-in-human-diseases
