Natural Product-Derived Biologics in Cardiac Repair and Vascular Regeneration

Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, driving urgent demand for effective regenerative strategies. Natural product-derived compounds — including plant-based bioactives, phytochemicals, and botanical extracts — have emerged as a promising class of therapeutic agents, offering diverse mechanisms of action, favorable safety profiles, and strong translational potential for cardiac repair and vascular regeneration. This Research Topic welcomes original research, reviews, systematic reviews, and translational studies examining how natural product-derived compounds contribute to cardiovascular protection, cardiac regeneration, and vascular repair at the molecular, cellular, and systems level.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:1.
