New Insights in Lymphoid Malignancies: Biological, Prognostic, and Therapeutic Challenges

Lymphoid malignancies, including Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, represent a biologically and clinically heterogeneous group of hematologic cancers. Recent advances in genomic profiling and immunotherapy have significantly improved our understanding of disease biology and expanded treatment opportunities, thereby transforming the therapeutic landscape. However, important challenges remain regarding prognostic stratification, therapeutic resistance, disease relapse, and the implementation of personalized treatment strategies. This Research Topic aims to highlight emerging biological, prognostic, and therapeutic advances in lymphoid malignancies. We seek contributions exploring molecular mechanisms of disease progression, novel biomarkers, tumor microenvironment interactions, and innovative treatment approaches such as targeted therapies and cellular immunotherapy. Particular interest will focus on resistance mechanisms, minimal residual disease monitoring, and precision medicine strategies that may improve risk stratification and patient outcomes. Furthermore, studies incorporating real-world data have emerged as an important tool for assessing the efficacy and safety of new therapies outside the setting of clinical trials. Therefore, real-world studies are also welcome. This Research Topic welcomes original research articles, reviews, systematic reviews, clinical studies, translational investigations, and perspective articles focused on recent advances and future perspectives in lymphoid malignancies. Contributions addressing both basic and clinical research are encouraged. Suggested themes include, but are not limited to: • Molecular and cellular mechanisms driving lymphoid malignancies.• Prognostic and predictive biomarkers, including liquid biopsy and minimal residual disease.• Tumor microenvironment and immune evasion mechanisms.• Novel therapeutic approaches, including CAR-T cells, bispecific antibodies, and targeted therapies. • Mechanisms of resistance, relapse biology, and strategies for treatment optimization.Submissions involving multi-omics approaches, artificial intelligence applications, real-world evidence, and precision therapeutic strategies are also highly encouraged. Please note that manuscripts consisting solely of bioinformatics or computational analysis of public omics databases that are not supplemented by relevant functional validation (clinical cohort or biological validation in vitro or in vivo) are out of scope for this Research Topic.
