Reviews in Cancer Genetics Volume II

Research in cancer genetics continues to unravel complex genetic interactions and their implications for cancer development and treatment. Reviews in Cancer Genetics is an emerging series aiming to consolidate high-quality review articles that explore these complexities. This series focuses on illuminating the most recent advancements in the field, acknowledging both the strides made and the challenges that persist in understanding cancer at the genetic level. It seeks to bridge existing gaps by discussing significant studies and ongoing debates, thus shaping the direction of future research. This Research Topic aims to highlight and synthesize new knowledge in cancer genetics, with an emphasis on identifying and exploring transformative directions in research and clinical applications. The goal is to encourage comprehensive reviews that can inform future inquiries and strategies, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of oncological genetics and its potential to impact patient outcomes. To gather further insights into the rapidly evolving field of cancer genetics, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:Comparative analyses of genetic mutations across different cancer typesThe role of genetic factors in cancer prognosis and therapeutic outcomesAdvances in genomic technologies and their applications in oncologySystematic reviews of targeted therapies based on genetic profilesCross-disciplinary approaches in genetic research and personalized medicinePlease note, we do not accept manuscripts solely focused on bioinformatics or computational analyses of public genomic or transcriptomic databases unless accompanied by validation through independent cohorts or biological assays in vitro or in vivo. These types of articles are considered out of scope for this Research Topic.
