Reviews in Nuclear Physics: 2026
Frontiers in Physics is delighted to present “Reviews in Nuclear Physics: 2026”.This Research Topic will feature authoritative Review and Mini Review articles covering major advances across Nuclear Physics, clarifying the state of the art and defining the most promising directions for future research and innovation. We welcome contributions spanning fundamental theory, experimental breakthroughs, and advanced modeling and simulation, with a strong emphasis on work that deepens our understanding of nuclear matter and bridges theoretical and experimental approaches across the field. We encourage Review and Mini Review submissions that cover established and emerging areas such as:• Nuclear structure and nuclear reactions, including exotic nuclei and the limits of stability• Hadronic physics and QCD, including the connection between nuclear interactions and the underlying theory• Relativistic heavy-ion collisions and the properties of hot, dense nuclear matter• Nuclear astrophysics, including nucleosynthesis and compact astrophysical objects such as neutron stars• Electroweak interactions in nuclei, including neutrino-nucleus processes• Dark matter searches and physics beyond the Standard Model probed through nuclear experiments• Novel numerical and many-body techniques for nuclear quantum systems• Links between nuclear physics and high-impact applications in energy, medicine, security, and fundamental scienceThis Research Topic aims to serve as a practical reference for researchers and innovators, and a catalyst for new collaborations and future Research Topics.Important Note: This is an invitation-only Research Topic.
