Frontiers in Agronomy is delighted to present the ‘Reviews in’ series of Research Topics. ‘Reviews in’ is a series being launched across Frontiers in Agronomy’s sections which aims to publish high-quality review articles on key topics within the field. The goal of this series is to highlight recent advances across agronomic disciplines, whilst emphasising important directions and new possibilities for future inquiry. We anticipate the research presented will promote discussion within the broader agronomy community and translate to best practice applications in research, industry, and policy settings.The Weed Management section covers the practical implications of weed science for effective management strategies, spanning biological, cultural, ecological, mechanical, organic, and chemical approaches, as well as the biology and ecology of weeds themselves. As global agriculture faces the spread of herbicide-resistant weeds, the impacts of climate change on weed populations, and the need to reduce the environmental footprint of weed control, the demand for rigorous, synthesised knowledge has never been greater. Reviews in Weed Management brings together high-quality scholarly review articles that map the current state of the science, identify critical knowledge gaps, and chart directions for the development of effective and sustainable weed management solutions.The Reviews in Weed Management collection welcomes Review, Mini-Review, and Systematic Review articles on topics within the scope of the Weed Management section.
