Correction: ‘Me and my besties in 50 years’. Aspirational aging in Italy’s Sciuraglam content marketing strategy

In the published article, there was an error. An incorrect quote from a paper by Rowe and Kahn 1997 was included.

Therefore, a correction has been made to [Section 2 Gendered aging in screen-based media: theories and numbers], [Paragraph Number 2]. This sentence previously stated:

“The second dominant framework informing the narratives around old age is that of “silver market” (Rowe and Kahn 1997). Born out the gerontological field, the paradigm of successful aging champions a multidimensional idea of the aging process, beyond a purely biomedical approach.”

The corrected sentence appears below:

“The second dominant framework informing the narratives around old age is that of “successful aging” (Rowe and Kahn 1997). Born out the gerontological field, the paradigm of successful aging champions a multidimensional idea of the aging process, beyond a purely biomedical approach.”
