The international journal, Pathology and Oncology Research (POR), was established in 1995 by the founding Editors, László Kopper, Judit Nagy, Zsolt Orosz and József Tímár. POR was launched with the aim of promoting the global dissemination of high-quality research in pathology and oncology. It is dedicated to keeping scientists informed of the latest developments in these fields, spanning the continuum from basic research to clinical medicine. The journal is of interest to pathologists, experimental and clinical oncologists, and related experts. .
POR is supported by a distinguished international advisory board and the Arányi Foundation for Modern Pathology.
The journal welcomes submissions that contribute to the understanding, diagnosis, classification, prognosis, and treatment of neoplasms and other pathological processes. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Tumor biology and mechanisms of tumorigenesis and tumor progression,
Tumor pathology and molecular diagnostics.
Clinical and translational oncology.
Digital pathology, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies in oncology.
Manuscripts consisting solely of bioinformatics, computational analysis, or predictions of public databases which are not accompanied by validation (independent clinical or patient cohort, or biological validation in vitro or in vivo, which are not based on public databases) are not suitable for publication in POR.
