Frontiers in Digital Health welcomes original and interdisciplinary research addressing the development, evaluation, implementation, and impact of digital technologies in healthcare.
The journal's scope includes digital health systems and connected care, telemedicine and remote patient monitoring, artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare, health informatics and electronic health records, digital mental health, digital health communication and behavior change, personalized and precision medicine, wearable sensors and mobile health applications, clinical decision support systems, digital therapeutics, healthcare data analytics, interoperability and health information systems, human factors and user-centered design, ethical and responsible digital health, privacy and cybersecurity, health technology implementation, health services research, digital health policy, clinical validation of computational methods, and the evaluation of digital interventions in real-world settings.
Submissions must establish a clear connection between digital technology and a healthcare application. Research on health topics without a digital component, or technology without a relevant health application, falls outside the journal's stated scope.
The objectives of Frontiers in Digital Health are to advance scientific knowledge in digital healthcare, promote the development and rigorous evaluation of innovative health technologies, encourage the responsible use of artificial intelligence and data-driven methods, improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency, support personalized and precision medicine, strengthen telemedicine and remote care, advance digital mental health and patient engagement, promote ethical and equitable digital health innovation, encourage interdisciplinary and international collaboration, improve the implementation of evidence-based digital interventions, and disseminate high-quality research through transparent peer review and open access.
